Historic Downtown McKinney Square was the perfect place for some updated family photos for this sweet extended family session! MacKenzie originally reached out to me because her dad, Rick Franklin, is running for McKinney City Council! Running for office means updated family photos for the campaign! As a McKinney family photographer, I shoot in McKinney a lot. It was so fun to be able to meet one of the McKinney City Council candidates and his wonderful family! Thankfully the weather was on our side and we were able to have the perfect day for photos!!

Everyone in this family was so sweet and genuine throughout our whole session. Getting photos done with this many people can be quite the task for families, but they managed to make it look effortless! Just getting everyone in the same place at the same time gets interesting, so I'm always very impressed with extended family sessions. (We only manage to get my whole family of 4 siblings together for dinner a couple of times a year…let alone for pictures!) There were lots of moving parts as we shuffled each of the families around, and of course some crazy loud noises on my end to keep the kiddos' attention, but it all went so smoothly! MacKenzie did a great job coordinating everyone!

Franklin Family, I feel so honored to have been chosen to capture these moments for you guys! What a special time to remember! Thank you for trusting me with these memories and allowing me to portray them through photography. I know it can seem a little crazy with that many people at a photo session (and 3 little ones – who were SO sweet by the way!!), but you guys were so great to work with and I'd love to serve you again sometime!
