It is a fact of life that some people will be around for a lifetime, and others for a season. We met the Leishear family through our pre-school at our church, Kid Connect. From the first day we met Mrs. Jen as Maddie’s new teacher, we loved her!! She has such a sweet spirit, a joyful attitude, and is ready every morning to show the love of Jesus to the kiddos in her class. Her smile is contagious and she always made it seem like everything was going to be okay, even if we had a rough morning and forgot Maddie’s backpack!

As we got to know Jennifer, we met her sweet daughters, June and Mila! Maddie mentions Mila often in the car when talking about her friends at school. They are just as adorable as their mom, and so loving!! We later found out that Jennifer’s husband serves in the Navy. They’ve been stationed in Texas for a few years, but have now been called to move to Florida. When we heard the news, everyone was sad. It was evident that Jennifer had made an impact in many of the teachers’ lives as well as ours! We had hoped Jennifer would be around for a longer season, but we understand that military life calls for relocation. As a proper Texas sendoff, I wanted to bless the Leishear family with memories in the bluebonnets!

When I told Jennifer about the session, she told me they have never had family pictures taken…NEVER! I couldn’t have been more excited! We talked about wardrobe and colors, were rained out once, and then finally got to see this beautiful session come to life!

Jennifer, thank you so much for allowing me to capture these memories for your sweet family. I could never thank you enough for everything you have poured into my daughter. For helping her to learn and grow, reminding her to be kind to her friends, and for showing her Jesus when we aren’t around. I’m in tears as I type this because we will truly miss you guys. I know God has great things in store for your family, and I can’t wait to watch it all unfold! (Thank goodness for Facebook!) I know you’re still unpacking, but I hope these photos bring a smile to your face! Enjoy!
