The Garber family has welcomed their newest member! To celebrate, they had a beautiful lifestyle newborn session in McKinney Texas! Their baby girl was snuggled and kissed (and fed!). And her big brother and sister had the chance to show off their new playmate… and their toys, ha! I had a great time with the Garber family and I'm so happy they asked me to capture this special time in their family's life.

Bringing a new baby home is always SO exciting… and probably a little stressful, if I'm honest. But lifestyle newborn sessions are just such a great way to document your baby's first days at home. For the Garber family, that meant time spent in their beautiful living room – wait until you see their gallery wall! I encouraged them to cuddle up and gush over their new little girl. And after that, we headed to one of their favorite rooms in the house. Her big brother and sister read her a book while her dad fed her. Honestly, it was SO calm and enjoyable for everyone. I loved every minute.

If you didn’t know it already, I just adore at home lifestyle newborn sessions. There’s something so calm and relaxing about taking your baby’s photos at home. Not only is it less stressful, but it’s super natural for everyone involved. Plus, who doesn’t want portraits at home? It’s the place you spend most of your time together as a family. It helps everyone feel a bit more comfortable and big siblings can go play, have a snack, or unwind while we focus on that new bundle of joy!!
