Facebook Ads for Photographers | What Campaign Type to Choose

More Resources: Free Class | How to Set Up an Ad Tutorial

Facebook Ads can be super helpful for photography businesses. But where do you start and which type of ad is right for you? In today's video I'll be breaking down all the different Facebook ad campaigns so you know which type to choose! So, don't be overwhelmed or avoid using them. They've been a strategic help to me over the years. Before diving in I do have a FREE class all about mini sessions. We're in the heat of mini session season so if you'd like help in booking out those minis take the free class HERE!

    Campaign Types

Ads can help for all session types but knowing which one can make a big difference. Each type has a different purpose. The Awareness Campaign is to be an introduction to your business. It helps create an audience for you to later retarget. A Traffic Ad is to drive as many people to your website as possible. Facebook struggles to get the right people there, meaning it's a bit too broad. An Engagement Campaign is designed to engage your audience. A Leads Campaign uses an internal form to collect a lead for you to follow up with. However, the internal form doesn't convert that well. The last two are Apps Promotion (not applicable since we don't have apps) and Sales which obviously provokes people to buy. Now, let's narrow down which is best for Mini Sessions…

    The Engagement Campaign

I've found this campaign is best for Mini Sessions. Inside this campaign there are multiple options so more specifically is the Messenger Ads. That means when someone clicks on the ad in Facebook it opens messenger to have a conversation with you! If they're coming from Instagram it sends you a DM. The goal is for those interested in your ad to have a conversation with you! Conversation with potential clients allows you to narrow down if they need a mini or full session. If they fill out a form like other ads they may not know what they're needing to inquire about. This campaign type allows you to follow up later because it's found in your messenger/DMs!

Now that you know what campaign type to choose I highly suggest giving it a go. Check out the video for more details on Facebook ad campaigns and start getting traction from your ads!
