When I say my clients are the best, I so mean it!! Cindy told me she had a vision for CJ's smash cake session, and asked if I'd bring my white sheer teepee. I of course said yes, then wondered what she had up her sleeve. She completely rocked CJ's 6 month session with an adorable adventure theme, so I knew this one would be just as amazing. Not only did she show up with another adorable setup, but TWO adorable setups!!! My little photographer heart was leaping with excitement!

Baby Christopher isn't such a baby anymore! This sweet boy was fearless and up for the adventure. He loved exploring the fun “hot air balloon” theme that his mom had brought along. He didn't break out the BIG smile until mom and dad started calling their dog's name as if she were there. CJ sure loves his pup!!

 

 

We of course had to take the opportunity to take a few updated family shots. Little ones grow so fast, so any excuse to get some updated photos of everyone is a great time to do it!

 

 

Cindy's second setup for CJ's smash cake was so perfect! With the last name King, this guy is sure to be “King of all the Wild Things!” His birthday party was “Wild One” themed, so these photos were the perfect compliment to the party decor! When it comes to a smash cake, we never know how the babies (toddlers? whatever is in between!) will react. Some cry like cake is the worst thing that has ever been created, and some dive right in, soaking in the moment because Mom is letting them get messy. CJ was the latter, which is always more fun! (My daughter was the cryer…You bet we still took photos! Gotta love the memories!)

 

Cindy, thank you so much for trusting me with another special moment in your family's lives. I am so honored to capture these memories for you guys! I can't wait to see what our next session together holds!
