Every birthday session I have the honor of shooting is special, but this one was EXTRA special to me! This strong, adventurous, sweet boy has gotten so big! I can't believe just one year ago we were celebrating his NICU Graduation! Jax made his appearance into the world 9 weeks early and was a fighter from the beginning. He was so strong and graduated from the NICU with flying colors! (Check out that session HERE! Also, see their in-home Lifestyle “Newborn” Session once they got settled in.) And now, a year later, we got to celebrate him turning ONE!!

Jax was all smiles for this session! He loved exploring the props that his awesome mom, Kassie, put together. And, of course, the campfire cake was a hit! Jax was a little hesitant at first, but once he got his first taste of that delicious cake, we couldn't keep him out of it! He loved it so much that his toes ended up in the mix as well! Let's just say, by the end of the session we had chocolate cake EVERYWHERE! (Perks of shooting in my new home: we have quick access to a bath!!)

Kassie and Bryan, thank you as always for allowing me to capture these sweet moments for your family! I just adore you guys! I hope you know that your family holds a special place in my heart. I can't wait for our next adventure together!
