Ahhh! I just adore the Coddington family! These three were so sweet – and a true joy to work with. Their fall Arbor Hills Nature Preserve family portraits were so much fun to capture. I don't know whether it was the perfectly coordinated outfits or just a beautiful family, but no matter what it was that made this session so special, I'm honored to have been the one to photograph it. Family sessions are about so much more than just snapping a “perfect” photo. They're about capturing how you are in this moment, in this season of life. Arbor Hills Nature Preserve Family Portraits

When Sarah and her family arrived, I almost squealed. They had on the most perfectly coordinated outfits! Sarah wore a gorgeous burnt orange dress and her husband and daughter both had shades of blue in their outfits. As you can see, coordinating outfits – but not matching – is a GREAT way to elevate your session without having to really do a thing. The darker colors stood out against the light greens of Arbor Hills Nature Preserve. The nature preserve turned out to be a wonderful spot for portraits. We had lots of options to choose from for their photos – the trees, some rocks, and plenty of room for their little girl to explore.

During our sessions, I want your little ones to be able to be kids! Let them run around and play. It doesn't bother me one bit. In fact, I truly WANT them to do that. Capturing their personalities is always so much fun!
