I could talk about Mini Sessions all day! Which is why today we’re honing in on Mini Sessions marketing tips. This is probably the biggest problem most photographers have. But, before we get started I want to give you this FREE $3K Mini Sessions Blueprint! If you’ve never made $3000.00 on a single set of minis this is for you. And when I say minis, I’m talking about a 2-3 hour set time! I know this will help you, especially in this current spring mini session season. Now, let’s cover 3 easy steps on how to advertise your family photography mini sessions!
It is VITAL to give yourself time to book out your minis. The truth is most photographers can’t book out their minis in just 2 weeks. There are so many action items that take place just to prep for these sessions. Promo shots, priming your audience, sending out emails, etc! Unless you are well established and have a large email list you need at least 6-8 weeks. You don’t want to wait until the last minute to book out… that’s just stressful!
If you’re only advertising to your Instagram and Facebook followers, you will probably struggle. Here’s why… algorithms! This is frustrating because the reality is only about 4% of your social media audience sees your post. Some ways to help expand your audience is posting in your local facebook groups! Get involved in your community and partner with local businesses. Schools, hair stylists, makeup artists, etc. Our goal is more eyes. Lastly, if you know what you’re doing run some Facebook ads! If you don’t understand Facebook ads you need to do some research first otherwise you’re just throwing your money away.
It’s supply and demand. When you have more spots available the demand isn’t going to be high. You want to start by opening 1 date of minis to create a higher demand for your service. Once they are filled you can then go back to your audience and talk about how quickly spots filled that you had to open another date! Again, you’re creating scarcity for yourself!
Don’t forget to grab the free guide $3K Mini Sessions Blueprint and be on your way to making that first $3,000 this mini session season! And be sure to use these mini session marketing tips on how to advertise your family photography mini sessions!
