She loves capturing personalities in photos and what started as a high school gig has turned into her business. She does what she loves which is why she's been successful. Tell me a little about your photography business!

I currently shoot weddings, families, seniors, maternity, newborn, headshots….just about everything. I've been in business since 2016, but it really started taking off in 2019.

What started your photography journey?

I worked for my high school's weekly newspaper. I had a friend that was a photographer for the newspaper and he pulled me into it! We shot every sporting event, school dance, assembly, graduation…anything you could think of! I worked my way up from freshman year to Photography Editor by my junior year.

What is your favorite thing about running a photography business?

I love capturing people's personalities in photos. There's nothing that makes me happier than a client coming back saying “you really captured us as a couple/family”.

What is something you’ve achieved that you’re proud of?

Just making it this far as a small business! Running my own business was NEVER on my radar at all. I don't have the marketing or sales personality so I wasn't confident that I'd make it. But even through covid I pushed through and I'm really proud of that.

If you could tell your past self one thing, what would it be?

I'd say, I would have started my business a LONG time ago!
