Oh, I can't tell you how much I adore the Merritt family! When they reached out about family portraits, I was SO excited to work with them. Together, we decided on to capture Harlinsdale Farm family portraits – and it was a blast! I'm so excited to be sharing it with you today. The Merritts have an adorable son and he made me laugh the entire session. This gorgeous Franklin TN venue is one of my all-time favorite spots for family sessions all year round so I'm glad they chose for their session to be here!

Harlinsdale Farm Family Portraits

For the majority of our session, we stayed near the gorgeous green barn on Harlinsdale Farm. Their son just LOVED the barn – and he wanted to look into all of the windows. I loved being able to document his fascination with the barn. I feel like the days of our kids being so curious and interested in the world go by so quickly. Whenever I can capture how a child truly is at the stage of life they're in, I go for it. I hope that his parents treasure those special moments for years to come.

Since he was so interested in the barn, we just made it part of our session! I encouraged his parents to lift him up, hug him by the windows, and so much more. We managed to get some super sweet moments between him and his mom and dad. And when he needed a break, I snapped some updated photos of his parents. Another priority for me in sessions!

To the Merritt family, thank you for letting me capture your special memories. You three are SO sweet together and I loved getting the chance to know you even better. There is nothing like watching parents just LOVE on their kids – and that's what you did. I hope you enjoy this little peek into their Franklin TN session!
