Technology is always changing and developing in ways to assist us. And today's topic is no different. I'm sharing how I use my apple watch with mini sessions in hopes to better assist you! Before I share, I want to let you know about a free workflow I use for POSING! It walks you through step by step what poses I do for every family session. It guides me through so I won't forget or mess up and I know it will be helpful for you too. Now let's talk about some of my mini sessions tips!

Custom Watch Faces

The versatility an Apple watch has is amazing. It allows you to customize a watch face or screen, so when you're in your session you can look and have what you need on your wrist! My mini session watch face has the time, calendar events, the sunset time, reminders and messages. This is my secret weapon to stay on time during sessions. Especially minis, they're short and sweet! I said I have calendar events on there and the reason is because all my sessions are inside. I use dubsado which loads them for me! This is helpful to know who your next client is.

Creative Ideas

My sister uses her watch face for minis as a literal timer. She's non-confrontational and felt uncomfortable to end a session. With her timer, she doesn't have to be the one to bring it up necessarily. Genius! Another trick she uses is for posing! She saved the posing workflow I mentioned above as a watch face. Again, genius!! She made a notes version of the workflow and made it the background to one of her watch faces. This way you're not looking at your phone to be prompted for what's next. Instead, you glance at your watch and clients think you're just checking the time!
