Do you have a Client Experience Guide? Maybe you don’t know what that is, but basically it’s a style guide with extras! The purpose is to answer any questions your clients might have before they have to ask. This is a major way I serve clients well with excellence. Before we talk about what to include in your Client Experience Guide be sure you check out this FREE CLASS! It’s called “The Keys to Effective Family Posing” and teaches all about family posing. If you struggle with variety or awkward and stiff posing this is for YOU! Now, back to what to include in your Client Experience Guide…
What Should it Include?
Most style guides are limited to, well, styling. I wanted something more that would help my clients before, during and after the session. Inside the guide it outlines what they can expect. It lets them know what communication will be coming: a Questionnaire, Final Info Email and when their photos will be delivered. I share expectations for the session so they know I’ll be loud and friendly to help with their kiddos! And yes, it does include styling tips for Mom, Dad and the kids! I also have a section that covers child cooperation. Things they can prepare their kids with so they come ready for a big camera and “listening ears”. There’s also a location section. As a photographer my style is light and airy so if they are choosing their location they can match. This way they aren’t choosing locations that are difficult!
Take a look at the video below for a full layout on what to include in your Client Experience Guide. If the thought of DIY is too much you can always grab my Guide in the shop. It’s a Canva template that’s customizable so you can tweak it to match your brand!
